Outback Farm thrives in cold winter weather

The Associated Students Outback Farm does not rest for the winter. In fact, Outback employees say the farm is as active and lively in the colder months as it is in the warmer months.

Western’s free yoga, a mindful experience for all levels

The Outdoor Center aims to increase accessibility to an activity that can be incredibly beneficial for one’s physical and mental health. Every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 4 p.m. and every Wednesday at 9 a.m., a Western student-instructor holds a yoga class in Viking Union 464.

Where The Outback acquires its seeds used to grow its variety of crops is not a detail most consider. By participating in sustainable seed practices, The Outback workers are creating a community built around sovereignty and agency for farmers.
